Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application Maneify (the “App”, “Service”), developed by Evgenii Dmitriev (“we”, “us”, “our”), handles your information. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

The Service is an AI hair try-on app that lets you preview hairstyles, hair colors and beards on your own photo. We act as the data controller for the limited information described below. There are no user accounts — you use the App anonymously.

2. Information we collect

• Photos you choose to use. When you create a look, you select a photo (which may contain your face). It is sent to our servers and our AI processing provider only to generate your edited image (see “Your photos and face data” below).
• Anonymous device identifier. The App creates a random, anonymous ID stored on your device. It is not linked to your name or identity and is used to apply fair-use limits and prevent abuse of our service.
• Usage and diagnostic data. Through our analytics provider we collect app-interaction events, device model, operating system and basic technical/diagnostic data to understand usage and improve the App.
• Purchase information. If you subscribe, your subscription status is managed via Apple and our payments provider (RevenueCat). We do not receive or store your full payment card details — those are handled by Apple.

We do not collect your name, email address (unless you email us), account credentials, precise location, contacts, or browsing history outside the App.

3. Your photos and face data

• You may submit a photo that can include your face in order to try on hairstyles, colors or beards.
• The photo is transmitted to our backend and to our AI image-processing provider (fal.ai) solely to generate the edited result.
• The photo is processed transiently and deleted immediately after processing. We do not store your original photo or the result on our servers or in our logs.
• We do not use your photo for facial recognition or identification, do not create biometric profiles, do not use it to train AI models, and do not sell it.
• The generated result is stored only on your device, in your app history, until you delete it.
• Consent: the App accesses your camera or photo library only after you grant permission in the system prompt. You can withdraw this permission at any time in your device Settings (some features may then be unavailable).

4. How we use data

• To provide and operate the Service (generate your looks).
• To apply free-usage limits and prevent abuse.
• To process subscriptions and restore purchases.
• To analyze usage and improve features and stability.
• To maintain security and comply with the law.
• To respond to your requests when you contact us.

5. Third-party service providers

We share the minimum data needed with providers that help us run the Service. They process data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:

• fal.ai — AI image processing (receives your photo transiently to generate the result).
• Railway — server hosting.
• PostHog — product analytics.
• RevenueCat and Apple — subscriptions and payments.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Data retention

• Photos: deleted immediately after processing; not stored by us.
• Anonymous ID and usage data: kept only as long as needed for the purposes above.
• Generated results: stored only on your device until you remove them.

7. International transfers

Our providers may process data on servers located outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate legal safeguards (such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., GDPR in the EEA/UK, CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the “sale” of personal information (we do not sell data). Because the App is anonymous and does not store your photos, much of this data is not retained by us. To exercise any right, contact us at the email below.

9. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify users and authorities of a security incident where required by law.

10. Children’s privacy

Maneify is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Updates take effect when posted on this page. Significant changes may be communicated in the App.
